Traffic Court is held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM
Most traffic cases can be handled through the mail. You or your attorney MUST enter a plea. The appearance date will be in the initial letter sent to you from this office. If you have questions, contact the Court prior to your appearance date. If you fail to answer the ticket your driving privileges may be suspended.
**GUILTY plea - fill out the TOP right-hand side of the ticket. Mail copy to the court.
Upon receipt and the judge's review and fine notice will be mailed to you. You will have Four (4) weeks to pay.
***NOT GUILTY plea - if you are pleading not guilty, you are not required to mail the ticket back to the court. You are required to appear in person to answer the ticket at the date and time indicated on your ticket. Failure to answer the ticket may result in your driving privileges being suspended.
For consideration or Reduction on a vehicle and Traffic Ticket (An infraction or Violation in Nature)
The Justice cannot reduce or amend and traffic infractions. If you would like a reduction or consideration of the Vehicle and Traffic Law infraction(s) currently pending against you in this Court:
Four (4) to Six (6) weeks are allowed for the process with the District Attorney.
Defendants must email the court prior to the appearance date issued on the ticket to inform that they have reached out to the DA's office and are awaiting an offer.
ACCEPT: Sign the offer and mail it to this court. Upon receipt and the judge's review a fine notice will be mailed to you. You have Four Weeks (4) to pay
REJECT: Mark your rejection. Mail it to the Court. Upon receipt the Court will assign you a trial (bench) date. Contact the Court prior to your Court date.
OR
You may appear in person on the 4th Tuesday of each month to talk face to face with a representative of the District Attorney's Office.
